Wood Sewing Basket

We made the sewing basket below to order for a special customer in town.  It was made to her specifications as a gift for her granddaughter.

The wire mesh shelf is to hold sewing notions.
It lifts out, so other sewing
items can be stored underneath it.

Closed.

Wooden Christmas Cross with Lights

Chris & Deni, at Storage Auction Liqudators in Rainier, asked George to make lighted wooden crosses for Christmas.  Our first one was 6' tall with a rope light around it.   We
don't have a picture of the finished cross.  It sold quickly.

The cross below is 4' tall with regular, white, Christmas tree lights.

This cross is for sale at the Rainier Senior Center "Christmas Attic Bazaar" today.

Wishing Well - Covers Well Pump

George had an order for a special wishing well with a cover.  The buyer was going to put it over his well pump, insulate and cover the pump.  Here's a picture of the wishing well without all of the inner pieces:

Today we finished the six sided "Wrap Around Tree Bench" that we made for a business in town.  It's taken quite awhile to cut, put together and stain, as this is our first one.

Latest Woodworking Projects

George's large, round wishing well has several unique features.  You'll see in the pictures below that he makes little buckets out of wood to put flowers in.

Some of George's planters

George is now making garden bridges with wooden side-rails.

George's wishing well in front of Deni's

George's large 5 pot planter.  This is his own unique design that gives height and depth to the flowers.

More of George's planters:

Glenn's Birdhouses.  Glenn makes these and the proceeds earned go to the

Rainier Emergency Food Center.

Glenn's Steam Train on a wooden trestle. (Prototype, not for sale.)  You can see this at Storage Auction Liquidators in downtown Rainier, WA.

On the right hand side are 3 different steam train locomotive squirrel feeders.  Glenn designed them for easy opening and cleaning.  They are his unique, protected design.  He's been making them for over 20 years.

Mill Outlet Lumber

George found a new place, closer to home to purchase lumber for his planters and projects.  Mill Outlet Lumber is a thriving business in Tacoma, next to Gray Lumber on South Tyler.

This is the flyer & business card we picked up this month:
